What is CO-FMA?

CO-FMA is an organization comprised primarily of Fire Mechanics from Colorado and neighboring states. The purpose of CO-FMA is to train, educate, and share information concerning fire apparatus maintenance and repair.

Why should I join CO-FMA?

Meetings are hosted quarterly at various member facilities within the state of Colorado. These meetings include training seminars, information regarding fire apparatus and equipment maintenance, and opportunities to view maintenance operations across the state.

CO-FMA holds a Fire Mechanics Academy annually starting the last Monday of July annually at Aims Community College in Greeley, Colorado. The Academy provides in-depth training related to fire apparatus maintenance areas such as fire pumps and accessories, aerial apparatus, heavy-duty electrical systems, and much more.

CO-FMA members recieve a discount for tuition at the annual Academy.

CO-FMA members are covered by Association insurance traveling to, during, and traveling from Association sponsered events.

Fire apparatus down time is a critical concern for all fire departments. A network of CO-FMA members, vendors, and manufacturer's representatives is in place to assist your department in reducing apparatus down time. Many of your apparatus maintenance and repair questions can be addressed with a simple phone call.

How do I join CO-FMA?

Send a completed application with your department information along with a check to CO-FMA for an annual membership.

What is the cost of CO-FMA membership?

Department Memberships are $35.00 annually.

Associate Memberships are $50.00 annually.
