EMERGENCY VEHICLE TECHNICIAN
First Vehicle Services, located in Thornton, CO, is currently seeking an experienced heavy duty Technician with Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to a minimum of three (3) years experience as a journey-level mechanic.
Certification as an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) auto/heavy truck mechanic
Certification as an EVT Level I fire apparatus mechanic
A valid Colorado Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Primary function will be to properly diagnose, repair and maintain fire apparatus, including emergency vehicle trucks and ambulances and all related components (transmissions, engines, drive train, transfer cases, fire pumps, multiplex systems, ladders, suspension components, engine components, brakes and ABS, air systems, exhaust, axles and suspensions, foam systems, aerial apparatus, etc). Also responsible to maintain a diverse municipal fleet of all types of light, medium and heavy duty vehicles and equipment. Snow, emergency and after hours callout may be required.

EMERGENCY VEHICLE TECHNICIAN
Located in Castle Rock, CO, MaxFire is a dynamic and growing company and a leading provider of new fire apparatus (trucks) and equipment in Colorado and Wyoming. We currently operate a service facility and a mobile service unit providing after sales service, refurbishment and retrofit of new and existing fire apparatus for our customers.
Due to a growing demand, MaxFire is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as an Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT).
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to a minimum of three (3) years experience as a journey-level mechanic.
Certification as an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) auto/heavy truck mechanic preferred.
Certification as an Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) certifications are preferred.
Must possess a valid Colorado Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within one (1) month of hire.
Certification as an EVT Level I fire apparatus mechanic within one year of employment is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Repair work on a wide variety of fire apparatus, vehicles, and fire department equipment. Assists with repairs on all types of fire apparatus including: engines, drive train, chassis, fire pump, brakes and ABS, advanced electrical and on-board computers, fuel delivery, hydraulic, transmission, air systems, exhaust, axles and suspensions, fire pumps, foam systems and aerial apparatus. Operates vehicles and equipment to test maintenance and repair work.
