06/22/10	MECHANIC: FIRE MECHANIC/EMERGENCY VEHICLE TECHNICIAN City of Golden Fire Dept. seeks a Fire Mechanic/Emergency Vehicle Technician. Responsible for routine maintenance of department apparatus and facilities. Performs required repairs and preventive maintenance on all automotive firefighting apparatus, allied fire and rescue equipment, and fire stations. Drives fire apparatus in non-emergency situations. High school diploma or GED required One year of post high school education in emergency vehicle repair or other automotive/engineering technical area or equivalent experience. Previous experience as a fire mechanic/EVT with EVT I, II and III desirable. Valid Colorado driver’s license w/good driving record required. CDL (Class B with air brakes) w/in 90 days of employment. $39,700 to $57,500 w/ xlnt benefits package.
